The Islamic Society of St Petersburg (Masjid Al Sunnah) is an Islamic center serving as a masjid and a gathering place for the Muslim community in St Petersburg Fl and the larger Tampa bay area.

The Islamic Center consists of three buildings providing a main musullah (prayer hall) and a private sisters’ musallah, a multipurpose meeting area, nearly 4,000 sq. feet of second-floor classrooms, office space, a library, and a warming kitchen.

Jummah (Friday) prayer is at 1:30 p.m. The sermon is in both Arabic and English. Eid prayers and other special Islamic and cultural events/holidays are also held and organized by  The Islamic Society of St Petersburg  .

Our major educational services are weekend classes for children and full time at the Arqam’s Hifz Academy. The full time school teaches the Qur’an, Arabic, and religious studies.

Social services include zakat and sadaqa (alms and charity) distribution as well as funeral services.

The Islamic Society of St Petersburg is blessed with the knowledge and guidance of several local leaders including our resident Imam Mohammad as well as the services of countless volunteers, the Board of Directors, and the Executive Committee.
